Project Description
Support Brackets/Badaan are frequently used as prominent features on buildings' façades, displaying extensive use of figurative iconography. Exploration of composite design and the utility of the object. The product had to be an object of utility, along with holding the tradition of Shikarpuri craft. Traditional craft re-purposed finds a new life in a utility object while retaining its beauty. Sensitive approach to the wood, texture, shape and form enables and upholds the structural integrity of the wood and helps adapt to newer forms, giving Shikarpuri craft a new dimension and enabling the craftsmen.
