Project Description

This renovated project is a single family home made for a lawyer, a creative and their family. This project is a true collaboration between the design team and the end users; a gritty, exciting and enjoyable journey to transform this 80’s home, previously referred to as Qasr-e-Bilquis.

The family occupies the ground level with a lounge at the heart of the space, leading to a secret garden developed within the compulsory open space of the plot. The first level forms the entertainment level with a generous terrace facing the street open to the plentiful Karachi breeze. The design of this terrace offers privacy and provides various scales for gatherings. The first level also has a library connected to the living area via a private terrace.

The home exists within the dense urban fabric of the city; the architecture and landscape of this home have been designed with notions of privacy and memory making.
